Nawakara uses ISO 9001:2015 to maintain its quality in its management system. The ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard dedicated to Quality Management Systems (QMS). It outlines a framework for improving quality and a vocabulary of understanding for any organization looking to provide products and services that consistently meet customers’ requirements and expectations and other relevant interested parties in the most efficient manner possible.
This certification is superior to the previous version, as it has explicit requirements regarding Risk-Based Thinking to support and enhance understanding and application of the process approach. Risk-Based Thinking is a significant part of the process approach, ensuring that risks are considered from the beginning to the end.
“ISO 9001:2015 affects the Quality Management System with the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) Concept, like an endless circle,” said Sigit Sudharmono, Nawakara’s Quality Dept. Head
With ISO 9001:2015, Nawakara can improve efficiency at the operational and organizational levels. This allows Nawakara to minimize variations that do not comply with quality standards and increase productivity because performance is regularly reviewed and focuses on achieving targets.
