{"id":1451,"date":"2022-02-17T08:27:29","date_gmt":"2022-02-17T01:27:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/segeralive.nawakara.com\/id\/?p=1451"},"modified":"2022-02-17T08:31:32","modified_gmt":"2022-02-17T01:31:32","slug":"knowledge-worker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nawakara.com\/en\/knowledge-worker\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge Worker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Knowledge Worker is \u201cIndividual\/Employee who consistently develops their knowledge &#038; utilizes it in their field of work.\u201d (Peter Drucker, 1969)<\/p>\n<p>The characteristics of a Knowledge Worker are summarized in the SMART Knowledge Worker as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>S=Self Confident;<\/strong> have clear goals and plans.<\/li>\n<li><strong>M=Motivation;<\/strong> have high motivation and passion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A=Action;<\/strong> Have Discipline and Consistency.<\/li>\n<li><strong>R=Responsible;<\/strong> have professional responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>T=Team Player;<\/strong> build collaboration within and between teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge is the ability to carry out work efficiently and effectively. Knowledge or Knowledge owned by employees is a very valuable asset in a company (Intangible Asset). Knowledge is divided into 2, namely:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Explicit Knowledge;<\/strong> Formal knowledge that is easy to learn and impart to others. Example: Books, Videos. SOP\/Regulations, specifications, and formulas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tacit Knowledge;<\/strong> Knowledge that lives within a person, which is contained in a person&#8217;s brain or mind and is not easily conveyed to others. Examples: technical knowledge, insight, intuition that is formed from experience.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8220;Knowledge Management&#8221; according to Karl Eric Syeiby is creating value by utilizing intangible assets. \u201cKnowledge Management\u201d will increase the added value and competitiveness of the organization. According to Ikujiro Nonaka &#8220;in an economy where the only certainty is uncertainty, the one sure source of lasting competitive advantage is Knowledge&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge Management Practices in an organization include;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Subject Matter Experts (SME);<\/strong> Identification of Expert Resource Persons in related fields<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community of Practician (CoP);<\/strong> Practitioner Community Strategic Forum<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge Management System (KMS);<\/strong> which includes, among others, Repository Lesson Learn, Knowledge Map, Knowledge Exchange, Innovation Activities, Knowledge Exchange and Online Learning as we use at JIWA today.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowledge is an Asset and Power that must be Managed Wisely in an Organization.
