Singapore \u2013 The transformation of industries driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) took center stage at the Global AI+IoT Ecology Summit 2026, held at Pan Pacific Singapore on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. At this international forum, the President Director & CEO of PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara, Dino B. Hindarto, S.T., ICPS, attended as a keynote speaker, sharing strategic insights on the impact of AI on industries and Indonesia\u2019s readiness to face these changes.<\/p>\n
Organized by the Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Center, the event brought together industry leaders, AI+IoT experts, and more than 300 business representatives from various countries to discuss technological advancements and their implementation across sectors, including security, manufacturing, and digital services.<\/p>\n
In his speech titled \u201cAI Impact on Our Industry and How Indonesia Prepares for the Challenge,\u201d<\/em> Dino emphasized that the world is currently at a major turning point\u2014comparable to the revolutions of electricity and the internet. According to him, AI is no longer a future concept but a tangible force transforming how businesses operate, make decisions, and create value.<\/p>\n \u201cAI enables us to shift from reactive systems to predictive and preventive approaches. It changes how we manage risks, improve operational efficiency, and deliver better customer experiences,\u201d Dino stated.<\/p>\n He explained that in industries\u2014particularly in security and services\u2014AI plays a crucial role in enhancing analytical accuracy, automating processes, and optimizing productivity. Repetitive tasks are increasingly being replaced by machines, allowing human resources to focus on strategic functions such as decision-making, leadership, and human interaction.<\/p>\n However, Dino stressed that this transformation is not solely about technology, but also about human readiness. \u201cAI does not replace leadership, ethics, and responsibility. Instead, it strengthens those who are prepared and challenges those who are not,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n In addressing these challenges, Dino outlined four key pillars of Indonesia\u2019s readiness for the AI era. First, Indonesia holds a demographic advantage with a young population that is adaptive to digital technology. Second, efforts to enhance AI literacy and workforce reskilling programs are being intensified through collaboration between educational institutions and industry.<\/p>\n Third, the digital ecosystem continues to strengthen, marked by the growth of cloud infrastructure, data centers, startups, and innovation hubs that expand access to technology, including for small and medium enterprises. Fourth, regulatory and governance frameworks are being reinforced to ensure ethical, secure, and responsible use of AI, particularly in data privacy and cybersecurity.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Dino highlighted that Indonesia\u2019s success will not only depend on the speed of technology adoption, but also on the wisdom in its utilization. AI, he noted, must drive inclusive growth, strengthen industrial resilience, and enhance competitiveness at both regional and global levels.<\/p>\n \u201cAI is not a threat to our industry. The real threat is complacency.
