Hindarto, S.T., ICPS, who participated as a panelist in Plenary Session 1 titled “Securing Borders, Safeguarding Cities: Collaborative Strategies for Regional Security.” The session highlighted the importance of collaborative approaches in addressing cross-border security challenges and safeguarding increasingly complex urban environments in the era of globalization and digitalization.

In his presentation, Dino emphasized that many operational security challenges are inherently interconnected across national borders. He noted that the movement of people, goods, and risks does not stop at geographical boundaries, making local security issues often part of broader regional dynamics.

He also underlined that the distinction between border security and urban security is becoming increasingly blurred, requiring a shift in perspective from a national approach to a more integrated regional strategy.

During the panel discussion alongside industry leaders and security practitioners from various countries, Dino stressed the importance of collaboration that goes beyond concepts and is translated into practical actions on the ground—such as rapid information sharing (early warning), stakeholder coordination, and the alignment of operational standards and security responses.

“Security today demands speed, accuracy, and strong collaboration. No single entity can work alone. It requires the integration of technology, strategy, and field readiness to respond effectively and in a timely manner,” Dino stated.

He further highlighted the strategic role of the private sector within the regional security ecosystem, as it often serves as the first responder in detecting and addressing potential threats on the ground. According to him, this role positions the private sector as a vital component of the broader security framework.

“Nawakara continues to invest in the development of security technology and the enhancement of human resource capabilities. We believe that the combination of innovation and personnel readiness is key to building a security system that is not only reactive but also preventive and sustainable,” he added.

AMISST 2026 is part of a series of integrated international security events alongside other major exhibitions and strategic forums, including DSA and NATSEC Asia 2026. The event brings together a wide range of stakeholders—from government institutions and security agencies to industry players, academics, and international associations—to discuss strategic issues such as border protection, critical infrastructure security, cybersecurity, and the application of technology in modern security systems.

Nawakara’s participation in this forum not only contributes to global discussions but also serves as a strategic step to expand international networks and strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global security industry.
