Vigilance and Coordination of the Nawakara Security Team Successfully Prevent an Attempted Theft of Company Assets

Surabaya – The vigilance of personnel and strong coordination among Nawakara’s security teams successfully thwarted an attempted theft of company assets in the form of 16 kilograms of sugar by an outsourced employee of PT ISS on Tuesday (10/12/2025).

The incident began when security personnel Yuni Wulandari (Employee ID: 3519120696) was conducting monitoring around the K3 Training Office area. At that time, Yuni became suspicious of the individual’s behavior, as the person was carrying goods and stated that he was heading to the K3 Training Office. However, the individual’s direction of movement instead led toward the motorcycle parking area, raising further suspicion.

Based on this observation, Yuni Wulandari continued monitoring independently and immediately submitted an initial report to the Squad Commander (Danru), M. Efendi (Employee ID: 3519120771). The report was then followed up with coordinated security measures by the security team.

As a follow-up action, the security team consisting of Guard Suhar Dwianto (Employee ID: 3523060070) and Squad Commander M. Efendi carried out an interception at the Main Gate / Motorcycle Main Gate Post. The officers then conducted a thorough inspection (detailed check) of the individual and the items being carried. From the inspection, the officers successfully found and secured all evidence in the form of 16 kilograms of sugar that were being taken out without authorization.

The swift response and detailed inspection were deemed effective in preventing the illegal removal of company assets and in ensuring that security procedures were implemented in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures.

The General Manager of the Surabaya Regional Office, Kosim, expressed his appreciation for the vigilance and coordination demonstrated by the security team. “This incident shows that individual alertness, supported by coordination and rapid response among security personnel, is crucial in safeguarding company assets from potential losses,” said Kosim.

Furthermore, management assessed that the reporting mechanism and follow-up actions applied in this incident functioned well and reflected the readiness of the company’s security system.

Going forward, the company will continue to strengthen internal supervision, enhance the competencies of security personnel, and reaffirm the importance of compliance with procedures for all employees and partners to maintain security, integrity, and the continuity of company operations.
