Jakarta – In commemoration of National Education Day 2026, PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Nawakara GEMILANG (Gerakan Muda Indonesia Cemerlang / Bright Indonesian Youth Movement). The program was simultaneously conducted across several Regional Offices on May 12, 2026, delivering educational sessions on security, safety, and environmental awareness for elementary school students as part of an effort to foster a culture of safety, responsibility, and environmental stewardship from an early age.
The Nawakara GEMILANG CSR Program reflects the company’s dedication to promoting character education, youth development, and social awareness among Indonesia’s younger generation. The initiative also supports the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the area of quality education and community engagement.
Through this program, PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara provided simple, practical, and interactive learning activities focused on security awareness, safety practices, and environmental responsibility. The educational materials were designed to be engaging and easy for elementary school students to understand, emphasizing that education is not only about academic achievement but also about developing character, discipline, and social responsibility.
The main event was held at Madrasah Maulana Hasanudin in Cilegon, Banten, in collaboration with PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. The program was also implemented in several other regions, including Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Malang, and Karawang, involving local schools and supported by Nawakara’s business partners in each area.
In Pekanbaru, the activity took place at SDN 002 Pangkalan Baru, Kampar, Riau, with support from PT EMP Bentu Limited. In Balikpapan, the program was conducted at SDN 09 Balikpapan Selatan, East Kalimantan, supported by PT Hexindo Adiperkasa. In Malang, East Java, the initiative was held at SDN 1 Banjararum with support from PT British American Tobacco (BAT). Meanwhile, in Karawang, West Java, the program was carried out at SDN Walahar 1 with support from PT Heinz ABC Indonesia.
Edi Susanto, General Manager of the Regional Office Jakarta, PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara, stated that Nawakara GEMILANG serves as a meaningful contribution to strengthening character education among Indonesian youth.
“Through the Nawakara GEMILANG program, we aim to provide children with valuable and easy-to-understand education on the importance of security, safety, and environmental awareness. We hope this initiative creates a positive learning experience while inspiring students to develop a lifelong passion for learning,” said Edi Susanto.
Collaboration with various business partners has further strengthened the implementation of the CSR program, enabling its benefits to reach a broader segment of society and the education sector.
