Nawakara Hands Over BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Compensation to the Family of the Late Zulkifli Nasution

Mandailing Natal – PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara once again demonstrated its commitment to providing protection and responsibility to all personnel by handing over compensation from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to the family of the late Zulkifli Nasution. The compensation is part of the employment social security program, which is the right of every worker registered as an active participant. The late Zulkifli Nasution was one of Nawakara’s personnel who passed away on December 7, 2025.

The compensation amounting to IDR 199,375,910 was handed over directly by the General Manager of the Pekanbaru Regional Office, Joni Afrizal, to the late’s wife, Nur Asiah, in Puncak Sorik Marapi Subdistrict, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra, on Thursday (February 12, 2026). The handover ceremony was also attended by the Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Mandailing Natal Branch, Hadi Kurniawan.

The late Zulkifli Nasution had been recorded as a Nawakara personnel member from June 1, 2022 to December 7, 2025 and was assigned to the PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP) project in the Puncak Sorik Marapi area, North Sumatra.

On the occasion, Joni Afrizal expressed his deepest condolences for the passing of the late Zulkifli while reaffirming the company’s commitment to providing protection for all personnel. “On behalf of Nawakara management, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The handover of this compensation reflects the company’s responsibility and commitment to ensuring that every personnel member receives employment social security protection. We hope this compensation can help ease the burden of the family left behind,” said Joni.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Mandailing Natal Branch, Hadi Martono, explained that the compensation represents the rights of participants actively registered in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program. “BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is present to provide comprehensive protection for workers and their families. The compensation amounting to IDR 199,375,910 is a program benefit received by the beneficiaries in accordance with the applicable regulations. We appreciate Nawakara for ensuring that all its workers are registered and protected under the employment social security program,” he stated.

The handover of this compensation reflects the strong synergy between the company and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in providing certainty of protection and social security for workers, particularly in facing unforeseen occupational risks.
