The Importance of Integrated Monitoring Systems in Preventing Fire Incident Risks in Business Environments

Jakarta – The increasing number of fire incidents occurring in business areas, warehouses, and public facilities in recent times has once again highlighted the importance of security and safety systems that do not solely rely on protection devices, but also on rapid detection and response capabilities. In many cases, delays in identifying the origin of a fire or slow coordination in handling it often exacerbate the scale of losses, affecting company operations, assets, and worker safety.

This condition has encouraged various business players to strengthen their security monitoring systems through a more integrated approach. Instead of relying on standalone devices such as fire alarms or CCTV, companies are beginning to adopt centralized monitoring systems capable of coordinating rapid responses during emergency situations.

As a provider of integrated security solutions, Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara views the integration between early detection systems and a security command center as a key element in minimizing fire risks in business and industrial environments. Through the Nawakara Command Center, various security systems such as CCTV, fire alarm systems, smoke detection sensors, and communication with on-site security personnel can be monitored centrally 24/7 in real time.

The Nawakara Command Center functions as a control hub that enables operators to monitor potential risks in real time and coordinate swift responses when an emergency is detected. With this system, the process of incident verification and on-site action can be carried out more quickly compared to separated monitoring systems.

As an implementation example, a warehouse complex with high distribution activity faces potential fire risks due to dense storage conditions and intensive use of electrical equipment. In one incident, a smoke detection sensor in one of the warehouses signaled an indication of increased smoke levels in an electronic storage area. The signal was automatically connected to the monitoring system in the Command Center, allowing operators to immediately verify the situation through surveillance cameras installed at the location.

After confirming a potential fire source from an electrical device, the Command Center operator promptly sent a notification to the on-site security team to conduct an inspection and take initial action using a fire extinguisher (APAR), while ensuring the surrounding area was safe. This rapid response helped prevent the fire from escalating into a larger incident and minimized potential operational losses.

Panji Baskoro, Security Response Department Head of Nawakara, explained that in many fire incidents, the speed of detection and coordination in handling the situation are critical factors in controlling the outcome. “In emergency situations such as fires, time is a decisive factor. The faster fire indications are detected and communicated to on-site teams, the greater the chances of controlling the situation. Through the Nawakara Command Center, we are able to monitor various security systems in an integrated manner while coordinating team responses quickly and effectively,” said Panji at the Nawakara Head Office on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

He added that the concept of a command center is not only a monitoring room but also a coordination hub to ensure that every emergency response procedure runs effectively. With the support of monitoring technology, integrated communication, and the readiness of on-site security personnel, companies can gain better visibility over the security conditions within their operational areas.

As risks in business and industrial environments become increasingly complex, the implementation of integrated security systems supported by a command center is considered an essential step in strengthening risk mitigation efforts and ensuring that any potential incidents can be handled quickly and in a coordinated manner. Through this approach, companies not only enhance the protection of their assets and operations but also safeguard the safety of workers and the surrounding environment.
