Vehicle Security & Tracking Supports Fleet Efficiency and Security

Jakarta – Nawakara, a provider of integrated security solutions, introduces its Vehicle Security & Tracking service to deliver clearer and more measurable visibility into the movement of fleets and mobile company assets. This service targets sectors that heavily rely on operational vehicles, such as logistics and distribution, retail, manufacturing, as well as infrastructure and industrial support services.

In fleet management, many organizations still face classic challenges, ranging from limited monitoring when vehicles are on the road, difficulties in tracing routes in detail when incidents occur, to high operational costs due to fuel consumption, delays, and vehicle use beyond official purposes. Vehicle Security & Tracking is designed to address these challenges by integrating position tracking, data security, and driver behavior analysis into a single structured service.

“Through Vehicle Security & Tracking, we want to ensure that vehicles, drivers, and cargo can be monitored in a measurable way, with data readily available to support decision-making when needed,” said Teguh Wibowo, Product Solutions Division Head of Nawakara, at the Nawakara Head Office on Monday (19/1/2026).

The system utilizes tracking devices installed in vehicles to transmit real-time data on location, speed, and fleet status to the monitoring center. All data communications are encrypted to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of information. Through a digital map-based dashboard, users can monitor fleet locations, review travel histories, and observe daily operational patterns. The system can also be connected to the Nawakara Command Center, which operates 24/7.

Vehicle Security & Tracking is equipped with a geofencing feature, which establishes virtual boundaries around specific areas such as depots, warehouses, or distribution zones. The system sends alerts if a vehicle exits a designated area or enters zones classified as high risk. In addition, users can set rule-based alerts, such as notifications when vehicles exceed speed limits, operate outside working hours, or remain stationary for extended periods at certain locations.

“Fleet management today is no longer just about vehicles and drivers, but also about data that records every movement. The challenge lies in turning that data into clear signals to determine the right response,” Teguh explained.

Beyond monitoring, the service also provides insights into driving behavior and fleet performance, including the frequency of sudden braking, tendencies to exceed speed thresholds, idle duration, as well as travel distance and journey time. This data can be used to improve driving safety, optimize routes, and control operational costs. In sectors that require high levels of compliance, historical data also serves as a valuable reference for audits and investigations.

“Asset protection is not limited to buildings and fixed areas, but also includes fleets that move every day. Vehicle Security & Tracking helps position fleet security as part of a broader, integrated security system,” Teguh added.

As part of Nawakara’s security ecosystem, Vehicle Security & Tracking is developed using a man, machine, and method approach, beginning with a Security Risk Assessment (SRA) to understand risk profiles and determine appropriate security strategies. Integration with the Command Center allows vehicle data to be linked with other security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and emergency response teams when field intervention is required.

In modern fleet management, journey security, operational efficiency, and the effective use of movement data are key factors in decision-making. Through this service, Nawakara delivers a solution that helps organizations manage their fleets in a safer, more efficient, and data-driven manner.
